If you do not feel comfortable doing this job yourself, it is suggested that you have an experienced Motorcycle Technician perform the installation. 1.
Remove the Windscreen. Using a small Phillips

2. Take the gauge assembly to a work bench or table. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove all of the screws on the back cover or the gauge assembly that hold the two halves together. Open the unit and remove the meter assembly. See the picture below. |

4. Gently pull up on the stock gauge faces until the adhesive holding them in place lets go. See the picture below. |

5. Using a small blunt instrument, remove the needle stopper from each of the stock gauge faces. Push them out from the back side, being careful not to loose them. Install them into your new gauge faces. 6. Install the new gauge faces in the proper location on the meter assembly. Gently press the needles on to the instrument shafts and manually test the ability of the needle to return to the zero position against the small stoppers. You may have to remove the needles and re-install them in order to achieve the zero position.
7. Install the meter assembly into the plastic case.
Install and tighten the screws that hold the case halves together.
Install the meter connector plug. Install the screws that hold the unit
to the bike. |
