What material
are your Undertails made from?
All of the Mototeck by Dussault Undertails that we sell
are made from ABS plastic, the same material
that the original bodywork on your bike is
made of. Many of the competing products are
made from fiberglass. Fiberglass allows them
to make the product quickly and
inexpensively. Unfortunately, one of the
materials used in the making of fiberglass
parts is gel coat, which after some use, is
prone to cracking or even breaking.
Will I loose
storage space in my bike if I install an
Undertail?
Most of the Dussault Undertails are designed
to give either full storage space, or, on a
few models, a minimal loss of storage space.
What kind of
lights should I get for my new Undertail?
All Dussault Undertails come complete with
lights and wiring. The lighting systems
installed in the Dussault designed
Undertails are of very high quality LED
units. Many of the “Knock Off” products
available today have no lights installed in
them at all. We have even seen some sellers
on E-Bay selling counterfeit products and
claiming they are Dussault Undertails. Buyer
beware!
There are many
flush mount turn signals on the market, and
some of them are pretty inexpensive. Why
should I buy yours?
We think that the lighting systems we sell
are the most attractive units available
today. They have a better fit, and there is
no drilling required to install our flush
mounted lights. They are also of Modular
design and can be upgraded at a later time.
I see that some
of your products that you sell, specifically
Bar End Weights and Frame Sliders, are made
of a material called UHMW. What is
that?
The full name of that material is UHMW-PE,
or Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene.
It is a tough, wear resistant plastic that
has a low coefficient of friction and
outstanding impact strength. It also has
excellent resistance to chemicals.
